Thank you so much for having us to stay at your wonderful cottage!

and would love to come back again. (S&W, London - April
2016)
Thank you so much for a lovely stay here at Wrens! It was so lovely
to come into such a warm and welcoming cottage. It was well
equipped and thank you for our wonderful Welcome Pack. (S&S,
Australia - March 2016)
We simply cannot express how wonderful it has been staying here for
the last month. Rebecca is a fantastic host and Wrens was the
perfect oasis to hide out in while finalising our wedding details!
We especially loved coming in to find the place decorated for
Christmas as we had to miss out on usual celebrations. So that was
a lovely touch! We hope to be back again at some point – hopefully
not to far in the future! Thank you for everything. (F&M,
Philadelphia - Dec 2015/Jan 2016)
Wrens Cottage has been perfect for our visit to the area and our
friend’s wedding. Toasty warm, spotless and well equipped. To add
to this the friendly welcome and fun filled chats made us feel we
have been amongst true friends. Thank you for a wonderful
week.(L&J, Poole - Dec 2015)
The cottage is lovely and warm. Good location for various walks,
also very central to farm shops and eating places with food that
tastes so full of flavour. We loved the countryside, long walks,
and coming back to the welcoming warmth of ‘Wrens’. (A,B&C -
November 2015)
Wrens is a great cottage. Warm, cosy and a good place to be a
base for. Many places to visit. Within easy distance are
Portsmouth, Southampton, Lewes, Arundel, Chichester and Winchester.
Check the Farmers Market in Petersfield on Sunday. (P&L,
Blackpool –November 2015)
An absolutely lovely cottage and perfect for visiting the local
countryside, Portsmouth and even ‘Peppa Pig World’!!! Yes and
despite its size we did all fit in – just. Maybe next time we visit
it will just be the two of us. (D,P,M&F – November
2015)
What a very warm welcome we got from Rebecca and a lovely Welcome
Pack. Wrens meet all our expectations and more, it was very warm
and comfortable – a lovely stay. We visited friends and family in
the area, as well as beautiful Arundel as well as other
villages/towns. We look forward to returning in the future.
(T&C, Norfolk – October 2015)
Lovely cottage warm welcome….. it’s all been said before, but it’s
true and makes such a difference. We had a wonderful holiday
visiting family in the area. (L&S – October 2015)
It just doesn't get any better than this! Pure dead brilliant!
(W&M, Perthshire – October 2015)
It is with mixed emotions that I write about this rare “gem of a
find” for the selfish fear that we may never be able to book again
at Wrens Cottage. But after reading some comments from this gust
book, a lot of discerning people have already made this discovery
as there seems to be a lot of repeat guests, a clear testament to
Rebecca’s inimitable style of hosting. Weary and jet lagged after a
long trip from the Philippines, my husband and I were delighted to
find this quaint cottage, fully equipped with all the mod-cons,
without compromising the cottage’s character. Every little detail
has been well thought out, from the comfy bed to the spacious
bathroom with modern plumbing. The separate utility room was an
added bonus!
Apart from a warm welcome, and a few brief encounters, we were left
to enjoy the cottage and all its accoutrements with the assurance
that Rebecca was just next door if we had any queries. There was
absolutely no need as every whim and more was catered for from fast
Wi-Fi speed to an immaculately clean home away from home. Many
thanks to the consummate host - Rebecca. (D&J, Philippines –
September 2015)
We’ve had a really nice stay. This had been a really nice cottage
to use as our base as we have explored the area, Given that we
arrived a day early, Rebecca was outstanding in getting the cottage
ready for us. Despite the short notice even the Welcome Basket was
waiting for us. It’s been a really good visit. (P&L, Canada –
September 2015)
A fantastic cottage to come back to each evening. Have had a
wonderful few days sightseeing and visiting relatives. Will
definitely be back to explore the South Downs. Thank you to
Rebecca for making us feel so welcome. (J&C, Warwickshire –
September 2015)
Such a wonderful warm welcome to this fabulous cottage – we’ve had
a wonderful time here and the space is perfect for all our ”stuff”.
A total ”home from home” with all mod-cons and everything we
needed. The Welcome Pack was a lovely surprise too. We’ve had such
a warm welcome from the locals at the Elstead Inn and 3 Horseshoes.
Can’t wait to come back again. Thank you! (A&D, Wirral –
September 2015)
A great find for our 9 days here. Your warm welcome was just what
we needed after such a long flight. Thanks for everything.
(C&S, USA – September 2015)

Have enjoyed our latest visit to Wrens Cottage. (B&H, Doncaster
– August 2015)
We couldn’t have wished for a more comfortable and homely little
cottage. We so appreciated the décor and finishing touches – all to
such a high standard. Thank you Rebecca for your welcome and
attentiveness. The Welcome Pack was very much appreciated. The
weather has been very kind to us this week and we have been on some
lovely walks, taking in beautiful views. We’ve visited Chichester
with its beautiful Cathedral, Arundel, Littlehampton and the quaint
market town of Petersfield. West Dean Gardens were a real treat.
There is so much to see we will definitely be back. (D&B,
Dorset – July 2015)
Thank you Rebecca for such a warm welcome to this well-equipped

Northumberland – July 2015)

June 2015)
This is our 6th
year here but only for three weeks as our daughter and family join
us today and there is insufficient room here for six. Otherwise we
would have been here for our usual 5 or 6 weeks. We love it. We
hope you all do too, we shall be back!! Thank you Rebecca you are a
treasure with this treasure which is Wrens Cottage.xxx (T&C,
NSW Australia – May/June 2015)
Comfortable and convenient. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at
Wrens Cottage. We have read the many compliments written by others
and can only endorse them. Would we return? Definitely. (B&T,

We have enjoyed a super week exploring the beautiful Sussex coast
and countryside, and return each evening to such a cosy,

It seems no time at all that we arrived at ‘Wrens’! Thank you
Rebecca and Marvyn for such a delightful welcome, including so many
goodies too. This very well equipped cottage, kept beautifully
clean and inviting has been perfect for visiting all the places we
wanted to. We sl gladly recommend Wrens to any one coming this way.

A wonderful relaxing restful week. Loved the underfloor heating. A
good base for sightseeing. Will probably have to come back as there
was just not enough time to do everything. (K&J, Bedford –
April 2015)
A wonderful stay in Wrens Cottage
in the heart of some beautiful countryside. Close to everything we
needed. We fell in love with Petersfield. Thanks to Rebecca for
your hospitality and we would recommend the cottage to any future
guests. Great idea of the Welcome Pack.(T&D, Brisbane –April
2015)
This is our second visit to Wrens. It feels like a real home from
home as it’s so comfortable & Rebecca is so welcoming. (J&D –
April 2015)
Moving house is a very stressful experience, but our stay at Wrens
Cottage before finally going into our new house has been like a
holiday and helped us to keep things in perspective.
The cottage is a real gem and has everything you could wish for a
holiday rental – comfortable, well equipped, lovely surroundings
and a delightful owner. Thank you Rebecca for making
downsizing so much easier than it might have been. We had
begun to call Wrens Cottage home and we will be extremely sad to
leave, but will keep happy memories of our time there. (M&H, -
Feb-March 2015)
Indeed the cottage is wonderful and very comfortable. Frying pans
were here in a second, excellent for the two of us. Thank you for
the warm welcome and we enjoyed every second of our stay in the
cottage as well as in Hampshire and Sussex! (H&J, The
Netherlands – October 2014

September 2014
We have enjoyed our stay very much, we felt at home from the start.
Our host was the best, and we look forward to returning. Thank you.
(J&A, Merseyside – Aug Sept 2014)
A wonderful cottage with everything needed for a breakaway. My
daughter and I totally enjoyed ourselves, and coming home of an
evening to the Wrens made for the perfect end of the day. Cosy,
relaxing and quiet. Perfect place to get away from the fast pace of
life. (A&S, Herefordshire –August 2014
Another enjoyable stay at Wrens Cottage. Looking forward to our
next visit. (B&H, Doncaster – August 2014)
This has been a delightful month back in the country of our youth,
in a cottage which has provided a wonderful base for visiting and
entertaining family and friends. Thank you Rebecca for your
generous hospitality and thoughtfulness. This has been a wonderful
summer, kind regards. (A&P, Brisbane – July August
2014)
See 14th
June. Chris wrote “Nothing changes”!! Untrue. The sheets and towels
are changed regularly. Do you play a portable instrument? Violin,
Flute, Oboe, guitar etc? The acoustics are excellent especially in
the lounge. I have brought my clarinet here for 5 years now, and
there is even a CD player for your backing discs, and Rebecca is
even kind – or mad – enough to say she likes hearing me play. So
give it a go!
We’ve had a lovely time and done everything we wanted to do. Thanks
for the yummy Welcome Packs the chocolates are sitting on my hips
now (internally of course). Everyone should try and go to the Weald
& Downland Museum at Singleton. Thank you again Rebecca, You’re the
best.xxxx (T&C, NSW – June/July 2014)
What a welcome and what a cottage. The Welcome Pack far exceeded
what we would have expected and the personal welcome from Rebecca
was a breath of fresh air. Rebecca was very knowledgeable about the
area and pointed us to the Park & Ride for Portsmouth. At £2
(introductory price) it was great value for money – that’s per car,
not person. We would highly recommend Fort Nelson and The Royal
Armouries. It is free and the food was wonderful. Weather was
beautiful so we were able to do “outdoorsy things”. If the weather
is wet, Milestones would also be worth seeing. A step back in time.
With many thanks Rebecca for giving us such a lovely base for a
lovely holiday. (J&P, Leicester – June 2014)
Wonderful as always! Nothing changes and it is always a delight to
see you again Rebecca. See you next week.xx (T&C, NSW – May
June 2014)
We have had a wonderful week in your very comfortable and well
equipped cottage. It’s in such a good position for walking and
exploring the surrounding area. Thank you! (L&B, Derbyshire –
May 2014)
What a wonderful cottage in a fabulous area of the country.
Needless to say we had a super time and will be coming back!
(C&K, Stockport – May 2014)
We have had a great time in Wrens Cottage. Thanks for the warm
welcome and the great hospitality! (T&G, The Netherlands –
April/May 2014)
3rd

immaculately clean, homely with a welcome dish of fruit, biscuits,
tea , coffee & milk. Look forward to new surprises in your
hospitality Welcome Pack. Very many thanks. (A&R, Devon – April
2014)

(A&D, Plymouth – April 2014)
Such a lovely place for a weekend break. Very comfortable and the

South Harting (the church and village are beautiful, and one up to
the South Downs Way & Harting Downs. You are in a beautiful spot.

and especially the nappy wipe search! (N & G, Chester, February
2014)
We had such a lovely stay, so much so that we kept extending our
time here. Made to feel so comfortable, relaxed and taken care of.
Without question we will be back and cannot wait. A home from home
and will recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for
everything. Sad to leave, much love. (Y & P, France, January
2014)
“Wrens Cottage” – as per the wren – “malurus
splendens” personified as in cocktailed daintiness, spry energy and
communal spirit. Dear Remarkable
Rebecca, Thank you so much for many things, e.g.
your enthusiasm, your hospitability, Christmas decorations and
ongoing understanding etc. Marvellous Marvin – thanks so much
for your help to finalise arrangements. It has been wonderful being
in cosy Wren Cottage at the end of our fantastic holiday here in
